Pictures From Pompey Chicken's Visit To Deepdale

Pompey Chicken took his trusty digital box camera to Deepdale to record his experiences. Here is a selection of pictures for you to enjoy.

(1) This is the fabulous statue of Sir Tom Finney outside of the ground. It had been a really cold night as you can see from the icicles hanging off his shorts!

(2) Deepdale is the home of the National Football Museum which is fantastic! Pompey Chicken was in his element! The Museum is packed with football memorabilia from the past to the present day. This is an earlier version of the FA Cup! (3) And this is the shirt of Sir Stanley Matthews from the famous 1953 "Matthews" FA Cup Final (or should it have been the "Mortensen" Final?):
(4) Arty picture number one of one of the floodlights at Deepdale:(5) Gleaming in the evening sunhine - the FA Cup can just be made out in the Sky Box!(6) "And now you're gonna believe us! We're gonna win the Cup!" Pompey fans celebrating after the game and a last minute winner!
