06/03/2012 Reading 1-0 Portsmouth: Pictures Of The Madejski Stadium

Here are some pictures I took of the outside of the Madejski Stadium prior to the evening Championship match between Reading and Pompey.

On arrival at Reading I parked up in the former HP site now used as an official car park and walked to the ground. This sign is at the bottom of the incline leading up to the stadium.

At the top of the hill I walked around the stadium in a clockwise direction towards the hotel and car parks. This picture is taken looking back on where I'd walked. The moon just adds something nice to the image don't you think?

The first picture of the hotel by the stadium, taken from a similar position as the previous picture.

The second picture of the hotel taken from a bit further around. The sky was a beautiful blue colour in the background.

The third picture of the hotel. Sorry, am I boring you?

The fourth picture of the hotel and look there's the stadium peeking out in the background.

Main entrance to the stadium. The moon seems to have turned in to a football.

Another picture of the main entrance and the megastore.

The megastore.

The North Stand.

This set of commemorative bricks contains the names of key Reading FC people including players.

Yes big Dave has a brick (nice to see he is higher than Graham Murty).

Now there's a blast from the Pompey past! Former Portsmouth midfielder Kevin Dillon (once coach at Reading of course). Dill is not the only Pompey 'legend' with a brick...I use the term loosely...as can be seen from the next two pictures ;-D

Glen Little!

Ibrahimo Sonko! LOL!

The Reading FC badge...and website address, this is at the other end of the North Stand, towards the East Stand.

The Supporters Trust At Reading portacabin.

View along the East Stand including ticket offices and restaurant.

The South Stand, the away fans enter through the turnstiles which are at the end of this picture.
