Those of you who have been following this from the start will know that back in the Summer of 2011 I started to follow this season's FA Cup with Falmouth Town.
As each round has progressed the FA Cup baton was passed as follows during this season's competition:
- Extra Preliminary Qualifying Round: Falmouth Town AFC
- Preliminary, First, Second and Third Qualifying Rounds: Bodmin Town
- Fourth Qualifying Round: Godalming Town
- First Round: Maidenhead United
- Second Round: Aldershot Town
- Third and Fourth Rounds: Sheffield Wednesday
- Fifth Round: Blackpool
- Quarter-Final and Semi-Final: Everton
- Final: Liverpool
- Winners: Chelsea

Kenny Dalglish (Liverpool manager): "We were excellent in the last half hour but the game lasts for 90 minutes. You can't give a team as good as Chelsea a two-goal start."
Roberto Di Matteo (Chelsea manager): "We played well for the majority of the game and scored two very nice goals, but it got a bit nervy towards the end. When Carroll came on he caused us some problems."
