01/11/2011 Crystal Palace 0-0 Portsmouth: Match Action Pictures

Here are some pictures I took during the game. I used colour in the first half and black and white in the second.

Luke Varney passes the ball to Hayden Mullins in the background. Mullins was returning to one of his old stamping grounds and had a good game in the midfield.

Liam Lawrence appeals for a decision to go his way.

Dave Kitson curls in a cross during the first half.

Kitson was the subject of a new fans' chant at this game, well one I'd not heard before. It goes like this:

Oh David Kitson! You are the love of my life!
Oh David Kitson! I'll let you sh*g the wife!
Oh David Kitson! I want ginger hair too!
Oi! Oi! Oi!

Liam Lawrence tries to make progress down the let hand side in the first half.

Luke Varney goes up for a header.

Liam Lawrence prepares to launch a free kick in to the box during the first half.

Tal Ben Haim (26) - I

Tal Ben Haim - II

Jason Pearce appeals

Tal Ben Haim - III

A pause in play for an injury.

Tal Ben Haim IV, he prepares for a throw-in, Joel Ward in the background

Ouch! Two players are down after a head clash, Ricardo Rocha is the Pompey player.

Joel Ward and Erik Huseklepp both go up for a header as Pompey defend at the end of the game and secure a valuable point.

Pompey players salute the fans at the end of the game.

Attendance: 12,933 and there were over 1,300 noisy Pompey fans who made the trip to South London.

Do You Know These Men?

Those of you who were at Selhurst Park will know that there were two blokes who ran on to the pitch during the second half.

Well, I caught them on film.

Here they are pre-match planning their prank...

You can see that one of them has even tried to disguise himself by wearing dark glasses!

There's a serious message here - keep off the pitch! I've seen it happen at football, cricket and rugby matches and it always end in tears however funny it might seem at the time.
