Introduction
If you've been following this blog you will recall that I thought it would be interesting to track the story of Portsmouth FC during 2012 on a day-to-day basis through those tweeting using the hashtag #Pompey.
When I started on January 1st 2012 it seemed like quite a good idea - but I wasn't sure if I would be able to see it through the month let alone the year!
The good news is that I've completed January - and what a month it was! I'm now all geared up for February.

News broke late afternoon that David Lampitt (Chief Executive), John Redgate (Company Secretary / Chief Financial Officer) and Nick Byrom (Commercial Director) had left Portsmouth Football Club. The Club also announced other staff redundancies and other other workforce changes (e.g. deferring wages and reducing hours). The administrators met with the Club's fans in the evening at Fratton Park.

It was confirmed today that Pompey were applying to appoint an administrator. An application was due to be made on Friday of this week.
